My 100th Blog Post: A Brief History & Future Of Blogsperia
So, this is my 100th blog post. Finally…
When I started this blog, the idea was to share my experiences as a blogger. I wanted to share my personal journey so far as well as things that I have been learning on a day-to-day basis. But I wasn’t sure about whether or not I would be able to continue with it.
Blogging is not a bed of roses. It needs extreme level of hardwork not only in terms of creating content based on your knowledge but also to keep yourself updated with what is happening in your industry.
So, with a day job as a digital marketer, which means being available 24 hours, it wasn’t easy, especially, because I have three other blogs apart from Blogsperia.
Initially, I managed to write at least one post a day, but the last few months had been too hectic. At one point, I wanted to give up and thought of discontinuing this blog.
Thankfully, I didn’t… I think when you love doing something, it’s more difficult to stop doing it than doing it despite all the difficulties. Does that make any sense?
Anyway, now that I have completed a century, stopping it would make all these hardwork meaningless. 100 is a big number when you have built a blog from scratch all by yourself, looking after everything from creating content to the technicalities. I am happy that I have been able to reach here.
But then again, there is a lot more to write about, an entire world, to be precise. Blogging evolves every day.
I wanted to write mainly about WordPress and Search Engine Optimization (SEO) – two of the things I am good and experienced at. Whatever I have written on them isn’t even a drop in the ocean.
Also, with passing time, I started writing about other stuff, like reviews of other website builders and blogging platforms, each of which has its own share of knowledge.
So, yes. There is still a lot to write about. At present, my focus is on static site generators. I have been exploring them a lot recently. Once I am done with a series on them, I will probably start writing about WordPress and SEO again.
Then there is a whole list of tools that I want to write about. And not mention, regular updation of old articles. Boy, I think it’s going to take a lifetime.
I also feel I am a bit all over the place and I need to be more organized in terms of creating content and managing the site. I need to have a proper plan now. Blogsperia is not a hobby anymore. It’s a responsibility…
Ok. I think I am being a bit poetic today. Anyway, more articles are coming in and I hope you enjoy reading them. I hope you find them helpful.
